Man and his mind in the light of Islam

It is no secret that any person somehow wonders about the meaning and purpose of this life, and in the Holy Quran God asks:

"Did you really think that We created you just like that (without any wisdom) and that you would not return to Us (having disappeared into the earth without a trace)?"[1]

One of the most important roles of religion in human life is to show that he was created with a great purpose, expressing his identity in front of other beings. God has given us innumerable benefits. Only a person who believes in Him can fully feel them and express his gratitude.

There are many benefits that Allah has given us. For example:

The earth was subordinated to Man:

"We honored the descendants of Adam (by giving them knowledge, speech and a comfortable body) and move them over land and sea. We have endowed them with benefits and elevated them above many other creatures (animals).[2]».

And what is in heaven:

"Don't you see that Allah has subordinated to you all that is in heaven and all that is on earth?! He showered you with His benefits, visible and imperceptible.[3]"

Everything that is on earth and in heaven is designed for a person to believe in God:

"Indeed, there are signs in heaven and on earth for believers (indicating the power and uniqueness of the Most High). There are signs in the creation of you and in the spread of life (on earth) for people who are convinced (of the truth of Islamic beliefs). In the alternation of night and day, in the sustenance that Allah brings down from the sky (in the rainwater that causes all sustenance to appear) — with it (this water) He revives the earth after it was dead — and in the change of winds (which sometimes blow south and sometimes north sometimes they are hot, and sometimes they are cold) — signs for people who use reason (to gain true faith)[4]".

God created man in the best possible way:

"We have truly created man in a perfect form[5]."

Man is a divine creation, which was created in a beautiful way, and to which a straight path was indicated:

"Musa replied: "Our Lord is the One who created all things, and then showed the way to everything[6]."

God gave man a language with which he expresses his goals and needs, his great thoughts and opinions, and taught him to say:

"The Merciful (ar-Rahman), taught the Koran, created man and taught him to express thoughts [7]."

God forbade killing a person without having the right to do so:

"Therefore, We prescribed to the descendants of Israel: whoever kills a person not (as punishment) for killing (another) person or (not for) spreading vice on earth, as if he had killed all people. And whoever saves his life seems to have saved the lives of all people[8]."

God has given countless benefits to people:

"If you want to count the benefits of Allah (which He has endowed you with), you will not be able to! Indeed, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful[9]."

Islam not only treats man as a special being in nature, but also says that he has a fundamental purpose in this world and that it should be remembered. In the Qur'an, Allah says:

"I created the jinn and humans only so that they would worship Me[10]."

In the religious interpretation, man was created for the great purpose of submission to God. Through worship, the bond between man and God is strengthened, and the influence of His perfect attributes is reflected in our actions. Thus, the formation of a good and healthy society is one of the most important things that a person can do in this life.

And now, speaking about the features and structure of the mind, in our religion Islam, man, as a creation, is revered precisely because of him. Reason is a tool for distinguishing right from wrong, closely related to the dissemination of Sharia obligations. Therefore, an insane or crazy person is not responsible for his affairs according to Sharia, since one of the conditions of taklif (imposition of duties) is the opportunity to understand and realize them. In the Qur'an, Allah says:

"There will be no sin on you if you made a mistake, but only if you did not intend to do it in your soul. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful[11]."

That is, it says here that sin is not recorded when an action is committed unintentionally, but the intentional commission of something is a sign of conscious activity, i.e. the influence of reason.

Those who do not use their mind, despite its presence, are reprimanded and warned in the Holy Quran.

There are enough verses where the correct use of the mind by a person is noted as a laudable quality, and I cite only some of them, where Allah says:

"But only those who have reason accept instruction![12] "

Elsewhere:

"... Who listen to the words and follow the best of them. These are those whom Allah has guided to the right path. They are the possessors of reason[13].

" And in the surah "Ta Ha" Allah praises those whose reason guides them to a straight path:

"Have they (the unbelievers) not been guided (to the true path) that We destroyed so many generations before them (who rejected their prophets), whose houses they walk through (the ruins of houses on their trips)? Indeed, there are signs in this for those who have reason[14]."

The mind, which has been used consciously and in the right direction, is the main means of achieving the right path and truth. When we use the word "mind", we do not mean "brain", because it is unanimously recognized that an atheist also has a brain, but his conclusions about the existence of God and the appearance of the entire world around him are incorrect. Here, the meaning of the word "mind" is a means of conscious comprehension of the world. It is a blessing that clearly indicates the existence of the Creator and leads to a true knowledge of things in this world, which in turn helps to distinguish truth from falsehood.

Who are jinns

Who are jinns: are they good or evil, where do they live and can they inhabit people Jinns in all their forms and forms are an integral part of Islamic culture, literature and poetry. The history of mankind in Islam begins with how the jinn, Iblis, refuses to bow before Adam. Who are the djinns, where they come from, where they live and what they can do - we tell in this material. Who are the jinns?  jinn are spirits that can change shape, and they are created from fire and air. The word ”jinn” itself comes from the Arabic ”ja-na-na”, which means "to hide, to hide". A person does not see the jinn, because they live in a parallel world - al-Ghaib. Djinn have consciousness, will and can make decisions. Djinns became an inspiration for classical Arab poets of the first millennium and for the Disney studio in the early 1990s. Islamic theologians say that the jinns are impossible to understand. By their nature, djinn are neither good nor bad, but they can influence people. How t...
